Since 1998, I have been qualified as an ADI. Starting out with one of the large national franchises, I was interested from the very beginning in what various development opportunities were possible.

And so, I took just about every course they had at the time, starting with the QEF 'Banstead Mobility Course' to assist in teaching those with learning difficulties or disabilities.

Over time, I added numerous other courses including becoming an accredited mock tester, and also being the examiner for the (now defunct) RAC Advanced Driving Test.

Eventually, I held the position of Branch Senior Instructor (a little amusing given that, despite my experience, I was the youngest there). That led on to an interest in Instructor Training, and so I approached the company that originally trained me, and became employed as an ORDIT accredited Instructor Training Officer. It was a job I loved, until a company restructure meant that the position no longer existed.

The Cardington Special Test (Grade A), and Fleet Training Badge were among several exams passed as a part of that job.

More recently, I have enjoyed working alongside an instructor friend of mine for a few years. But, as our working areas have diverged, and as most of my work comes through word of mouth recommendations, it's time for Altitude to become a presence in Bletchingley and the surrounding areas.
